WE HAVE A PASSION
for crafted cocktails built on fine whiskey spirits. A favorite pastime is tasting creative concoctions at local craft bars and restaurants, and chatting up the bartenders to learn about the alchemy of their ingredients and trade techniques. Even with superb cocktails, though, we find that the cherry garnish is often an afterthought, with a taste that just doesn’t hold up to the quality of the mixed drink. Or worse, it diminishes the entire cocktail experience. We believe high-end cocktails deserve better!
And so, inspired by a friend in 2016, we began experimenting with marinating cherries in spirits and spices to find a tasty balance. After much fine-tuning, we developed a recipe for soaked cherries in a delicious syrup that hit the flavor profile we were seeking, with far more character than anything on the market. Fast-forward to 2021, and given the incredible opportunity by a friend to provide our spiced cherries to a legendary Seattle bar and restaurant, we took the leap to establish Swizzle and set our sights on improving the world of whiskey cocktails – one cherry at a time.
